Celebrate Eagle Scout Day with the Perfect Eagle Scout Gift
August 1st is Eagle Scout day! A day to honor the Eagle Scout in your life and recognize them for being the leaders they are.
One of the most common questions we get here at the Scout Shop headquarters is, “How can I celebrate my Eagle Scout?” (both new and seasoned).
It can seem like a daunting task to pick out the perfect gift that shows them how proud you are, but we’re here to help. We’ve pulled together our favorite Eagle Scout gifts that are perfect as court of honor presents, as well as items that can be given to celebrate an Eagle Scout years later (because Once an Eagle, Always an Eagle).
Camillus Eagle Scout Knife: These knives are USA-made with all USA components as well (along with the gift boxes that match!). Cross Eagle Scout Pens: These pens are perfect for new and seasoned Eagle Scouts. There are two options, the single Eagle Scout pen and the Eagle Scout pen-and-pencil combination. I love these because they can be used everyday and be a constant reminder of the massive accomplishment of earning the Eagle Scout rank.
Eagle Scout Padfolio: The two padfolio options are another way to cross function with a head-nod to hard work. Both are perfect for Eagle Scout professionals and daily use, and both showcase an Eagle Scout medal visual for reminder of how hard work leads to great accomplishments.
Eagle Scout Medal Frame: With multiple frame options to choose from, this is an easy-to-give gift that can be chosen to match anyone’s style. If there is one gift that should be given to a new Eagle Scout, it is definitely a way to display their earned rank medal prominently!
National Eagle Scout Association Mug: Who doesn’t love a new coffee mug? This mug would make the perfect gift alone OR paired with a membership to NESA (the National Eagle Scout Association) if the Scout you are giving to doesn’t have a membership yet. Eagle Scout Watch: There are two options to choose from if you are looking for an Eagle Scout watch – one has a more simplistic look and both feature the Eagle Scout medal on the faceplate. If you couldn’t tell, I love practical gifts that can be used regularly and as a reminder of hard work, dedication, and strong character, and what better daily reminder than a watch?
Eagle Scout Award Boxed Set: The boxed set makes for a really clean and powerful display to present the Eagle Scout rank to new Eagle Scouts. It works well for a court of honor and they can always take and display the boxed set on a bookshelf.
Eagle Scout Solid Cherry Mantle Clock: I really love this classic clock – it makes a gorgeous gift and this is definitely one that would be perfect for any generation of Eagle Scout. It is classic and could really be displayed anywhere – an office, dorm room, bedroom, living room. You can’t go wrong with a well-made and beautifully designed timepiece.
Eagle Scout Fleece Blanket: There are two options available, and they are both the perfect cozy way to snuggle up by the campfire or on the couch with your favorite flavor of (BSA) popcorn! One option allows you to customize the embroidery on it and the other has a cozy plaid pattern in the classic Scouting America colors.
Some special tokens to those who supported the Eagle Scouts on their journey…
One of the things I hear most from Eagle Scouts is how they couldn’t have gotten there or completed the journey alone. These presents are the perfect chance to gift a supporting mentor, parent, or even grandparent!
Insulated Parent Tumbler: Definitely a must-have for parents or guardians of an Eagle Scout, this tumbler has the quote, “I survived my kid’s Eagle Scout Project”, and you know, from all of us at Scout Shop, we COMMEND you for that.
