The National Jamboree 2026 Scavenger Hunt is a new kind of adventure—part trail challenge, part digital quest. Scouts who purchase the exclusive NJ26 NFC Scout Patch unlock an interactive game across The Summit Bechtel Reserve.

The patch works like a key. Tap it with your smartphone, and it opens PlayTours, where your hunt begins. From there, you’ll follow clues, scan QR codes, and earn points as you explore iconic Jamboree sites.

It’s Scouting America’s way of bringing the thrill of discovery into the digital age—combining hands-on exploration with smart, connected fun.

Scouts who purchase the NFC patch at the NJ26 Trading Post gain access to the scavenger hunt through a unique, single-use access code. Once activated, the NFC patch functions like a tap-to-pay card or digital key—one tap with your smartphone takes you straight to PlayTours, the interactive platform that powers the game.

From there, Scouts navigate The Summit using QR codes placed at each of the ten scavenger hunt locations. Every scan earns points, and each photo submission adds a bonus. It’s fast, easy, and designed to keep the pace of the Jamboree itself.

1. Purchase the NJ26 NFC patch at the Trading Post (includes one-time access code).

2. Tap your patch with your smartphone to open PlayTours.

3. Enter your code and access the scavenger map.

4. Visit each location and scan the QR code to earn 10 points.

5. Submit a photo at each stop for 5 bonus points.

6. Complete all ten challenges to finish the hunt and earn recognition.

Photo submissions are verified by National Jamboree Staff to ensure accuracy and safety for all participants.

• The Park – Show off your balance at the skate park.

• The Trax – Race through the BMX course.

• The Bows – Find your focus at the archery range.

Each location blends outdoor challenge with digital gameplay, turning the Jamboree grounds into a connected, real-world adventure.
